It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rose Syrell Aquilano of Freehold, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Rose may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rose touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Anthony J. Aquilano, Sr.; her siblings, Annamarie Rodgers and James Van Dolson, Jr.; her children, Anthony J. Aquilano, Jr. and Diane Kovatch; and her mother Rose.
She is survived by: her caregiver Paul Kimball Hospital; and her children, James V. Aquilano, Michele Rice and Kevin J. Aquilano of Mommy's Homeboy. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, honoring Rose's generous spirit.
