With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Michael Madden of Freehold, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Baynton Madden; his parents, Michael Madden and Anna Gilluly Madden; his siblings, Mickey and Margaret; and his son-in-law Michael Scanlon.
He is survived by: his children, Glen (Diane), Sharon (Ken McCauley), Maureen (William "Pete" Petersen), Janice (John McDonough), Linda Scanlon (Gary) and Margie; and his grandchildren, Jennifer McCauley (Preston), Erin Liberto (Mat), Ryan McCauley (Melissa), Brian Rowe (Cat), John Petersen (Becky), Kevin Rowe (Jaime), Jeff Rowe (Tara), Meagan Taglione (Tony), Caitlin Thompson (Matt), Michael McDonough (Jylian), Bill Scanlon (Brittany), Tom Scanlon (Amanda), Gregory Mullarkey (Jackie) and Eileen Bye (Rob). He is also survived by several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (47 E Main St, Freehold, NJ 07728). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Church (16 Mc Lean St, Freehold, NJ 07728).
