It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Michael Barton Sr. of Great Meadows, New Jersey, born in Denville, New Jersey, who passed away on November 9, 2020, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father James Joseph Barton. He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth Barton (Mullen); his wife Cheryl Barton (Jones); his children, John Michael Barton, Jr. (Karen), Dr. Christine Barton, Colleen Mejia (Roger), Shannon Tyminski (Chris) and Jamie Barton; his siblings, James Barton (Susan), Maureen Dabkowski (Gerald "Jerry") and Katherine Scanlan (Daniel "Danny"); and his grandchildren, Isabella Rose Mejia, Patrick Barton and Kieran Barton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Atlantic Health Palliative Care at Morristown, 100 Madison Ave., Morristown, NJ in memory of John.
