We announce the death of Barbara Jane Michael of Green Brook, New Jersey, born in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 74. Barbara Jane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan McDavitt and Louise McDavitt; and her nephew Ryan Michael. She is survived by: her husband Edward A. Michael, Jr.; her daughters, Kristen Bannon (Jonathan), Katherine Michael, Denise Clayton (Jeff) and Debra Bianco (Robert); her grandchildren, Kyle Clayton (Kelly), Natalie Bannon and Ashley Bannon; her great grandchildren, Avery, Lily and Bryce Clayton; and her sisters, Ellen Mortensen and Susan Straffin.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Higgins Home For Funerals (752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ 07069). A Mass was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Luke's Church (300 Clinton Ave, North Plainfield, NJ 07060).
