He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nodes, Sr. and Esther Nodes (Smith); and his siblings, Bruce Cobb, Robert Cobb, George Nodes and Laura Travitz.

He is survived by: his wife Michelle Nodes (Gregory); his daughters, Desiree Wulff (Michael) and Hadley Funes (Alexis); his siblings, Cody Nodes (Liz), Debra Spressart (Gary) and Liza Bilyj (Michael); his stepsisters, Rachael Ditmar (Bobby) and Sara Dilley; his stepmother Rosemary Dilley; his in-laws, John and Mary Gregory; and his pets, Odin, Poppy and Bella. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to the family, or the Crohns and Colitis Foundation.
