Awilda Montañez Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Awilda Montañez of Hackensack, New Jersey, who passed away on October 1, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Awilda departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Awilda may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Awilda leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Montanez and Aurora Montanez; and her sister Beatrize De Jesus. She is survived by: her siblings, Victor Montanez (Hilda Montanez), Wilfredo Montanez, Leticia Sanchez, Nelson Montanez (Christine Montanez), Gisela Aultmon, Gamalier Montanez (Yeni Montanez) and Samuel Montanez. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
