He was predeceased by: his parents, John Papso and Mary Papso (Pronko); and his brother John Popson. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Popson (Lantz); his children, Kathleen (late Claude Eroh) and Gene Popson, Jr. (Pam Benkin); his grandchildren, Austin Popson (Toni Bacus) and Kelsey Popson (Mike Lubrano); his great grandchildren, Aurora Bacus and Oliver Popson; and his siblings, Leon Popson (late Betty), Ron Papso (Bonnie), Patsy Korbylo (Mike) and Barbara White (late Bill). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
