We are sad to announce that on September 8, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Gail Marie Thurber in Hackettstown, New Jersey, born in Paterson, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Gaede and Margaret Gaede; her stepfather Joseph Holzinger; her brother Chuck Gaede; and her daughter Jessica Werth.

She is survived by: her husband Harry "Jerry" Thurber; her children, Thomas (Kim), Kimberly Sokolowski (Todd), Jon (Elisa), Jenny (Scott Champagne), Scott, Jayme and Carliyonna (Matthew Bertero); her son-in-law Stan Werth; her brother Jay Holzinger; and her grandchildren, Grace, Riley, Sienna, Leila, Catherine, Colin and Ashten.

“I have so many fond memories of Gail. We met when Scott and Jayme were in preschool w my son. We shared many laughs, some tears and long walks into Califon. Last time I saw Gail was 4 years ago and we had a beautiful afternoon kayaking at the lake house. I will remember Gail’s laugh, her caring personality, her love for her family and her energy level! Always on the go. May God hold you in his arms and be at peace knowing your life here on earth will not be forgotten. Lynn Warfield”
