She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Durkin and Mathilda Durkin (Weber); her husband Joseph P. Ahrens; her daughter Kathleen Marie Ahrens; her grandsons, Sean Rodriguez and Christopher Gum; and her siblings, Frances Glackin, William Durkin and Martin Durkin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Meckler and Mary Rodriguez (Jorge); her grandchildren, Jeffrey Gum, Julie Gum (Anthony Ciotti) and Kevin Rodriguez; and her great grandchildren, James, Maggie, Joseph Ciotti and J. T. Gum Sheffield. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital and Riverwalk House of the Good Shepherd Employee Appreciation Fund.
