He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lightner; his daughters, Bonnie Ward (Les), Debbie Waldele (Robert) and Wendy Emery; his daughter-in-law Valerie Anderson; his stepchildren, Michelle Lightner and Gregory Lightner; his grandchildren, Rachel Crane (Mike), Christina DeMartini (Matt), Robert Waldele, Carole Emery, MaryAnne Gilbert (Douglas), Alyssa Anderson, Kayla Anderson, David Shoemaker (Sharon) and Melissa Makins (Tyler); his stepgrandchildren, Jackson Lightner, Chloe Lightner and Lucie Amato; his great grandchildren, Anna, Nathaniel, Madelyn, Matthew, Cooper, Bodhi, Braylen and Bryce; and his sister Diane Temples. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Douglas to St Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
