It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter H Stuber of Hackettstown, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Stuber and Antonia Weiland Stuber; and his former wife Barbara Crawford Stuber. He is survived by: his wife Avis Darst Stuber; his children, Debra Fiscus of Christiana, David Stuber of Washington, NJ, Daniel Stuber of Carlyle and Jonathan Stuber of Hackettstown, NJ.; and his siblings, Arthur Stuber of Hackettstown, NJ and Anne Gerhardt of Parsippany, NJ.. He is also survived by grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

“I knew both Barbara and Walter at the First Reformed Church in Union City, NJ. Barbara taught me to dance. Walter was always teasing me in a friendly way and I was a VERY teasible kid. I am filled with so many fond memories. I only wish I had kept more in touch. I shall be planting a tree in their joint memory. I am in tears as I write this.
