She was predeceased by : her brothers, Leonard, Leon, Herman, William and Charles.

She is survived by : her children, Robin DeShields (Dennis) and Richard Whittington; her grandson Brandon Banks (Careen); her sisters, Lucille Hinson, Audrey Pratt, Winifred Huff, Catherine King, Carrie Frances Shorter, Grace Geneva Sharpless and Bertha Butler; and her godchildren, Pamela Johnson, Peter Sharpless and Tahron Person. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and cousins.

Final disposition will take place privately. At the request of the family and the church, please wear masks at all times, regardless of vaccination status.
