He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Maurice J. Smith and Anne Smith; and his siblings, Gregory Smith (Pattie) and Dianne Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Smith; his son Tyler; his daughter-in-law Maggie Smith; his daughter Olivia Smith of Hamilton; and his siblings, Dr. Mark Smith (Maureen O'Rourke) of Stockton and Dr. Maureen O'Brien (Cliff) of Honolulu, HI. He is also survived by his future granddaughter; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends, and beloved pets.
