She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thompson and Christina Thompson (Byrne); her husband Joseph J. Hogarty; and her siblings, Alice Murl, Christine Fazio, Rachel Watson and William Thompson.

She is survived by: her sisters, Joan Thompson of Ewing, NJ and Barbara Calisti (Peter) of Hamilton, NJ; and her caregiver Brenda Duggan of Ewing, NJ. She is also survived by other loving nieces and nephews.
