He is survived by: his wife Bibiana Chinyere Opene (Ekeozor); his children, Sunny Ekeozor, Adaku Opene, Ifeoma Okeke, Ngozi Okoli, Nkechi Opene, Amaechi Ikeoha and Ugochukwu Opene; and his siblings, Vincent Opene, Gabriel Opene, Ego Nwachukwu, Nneka Emezina, Nonye Opene and Uche Opene. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
