He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Mary Smith (McCloskey); his wife Michelle Smith (Vermilyea); his brother Stephen Smith; and his sister-in-law Valerie Bollitieri.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Smith, David Smith (Sandra) and Marisa (Jim Zemanek); his grandchildren, Mason and Faye Smith; his brother Patrick Smith (Geri); and his siblings-in-law, Greg, Joseph Vermilyea, Patricia (Bob Jobes), Lynn Caltigrone, Christine and Marie Vermilyea. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
