George Thrappas Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of George Thrappas of Hamilton, New Jersey. George, born on June 5, 1939, passed away on October 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christos Thrappas and Lemonia Thrappas; and his siblings, Kyriaka Kollis, Isidoros Thrappas, Vasilia Milonas and Angeliki Tsoflias.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his son Chris; and his sister Eleni Merias. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church (1200 Klockner Rd, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1800 Hamilton Ave, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
