He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mercurio and Anna Ida Giangrasso Mercurio; his sister Mary; his brother-in-law Pasquale Maffei; and his brother Andrew Mercurio.
He is survived by: his wife Rose "Rosie" M. Pica Mercurio; his children, Joanne Zoda (Mike), John A. Mercurio Jr. (Cammy) and Elaine Dun (Bob); his grandchildren, Michelle Sarkos (Jimmy), John A. Mercurio III, Maci, Taylor Rose and Daniel; his great grandchild Michael Zoda; and his sister-in-law Olga Mercurio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
