He was predeceased by: his parents, John Daniel Kakas, Sr. and Letizia Kakas (Vitangeli); his daughter Gia Kakas; and his brother Thomas Kakas. He is survived by: his daughters, Letitia Mancia and Jeanine Kakas; his son-in-law Bruce Mancia; his sisters, Josephine Manzo and Lisa Toscano; his brother-in-law Bruno Toscano; his siblings' children, Anthony, Nicholas Manzo, Thomas, Brian Kakas, Nina and Adriana Toscano; his great-niece Natalee Kakas; his close friend Linda Pricolo; and his grandchildren, Giovanna, Francesca, Giuliano and Angelina. He is also survived by many loving cousins and life-long friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Brenna-Cellini Funeral Homes - Hamilton (2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Rd, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Church (626 S Olden Ave, Trenton, NJ 08629). An entombment was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery (400 Woolsey St, Hamilton Township, NJ 08610).
