He was predeceased by: his wife Joan McGowen; his parents, John Szabo and Irene Szabo; and his son John R. Szabo Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Peluso (Joseph), Debbie Hul (Wolfgang) and Dana Ingandela; his grandchildren, Sarah Brun (Joseph Brun), Scott Young (Lauren Young), Joanna McKenzie (Sean) and John Szabo III; his stepgrandsons, Marc Peluso (Sarah) and Gregory Peluso; and his great grandchildren, Ceci, Zooey, Eleanor, Milo, Lincoln, Alex and Mia. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
