He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Polizzi and Carmela Giordano Polizzi; his daughter Lisa Anne Polizzi; and his brother Salvatore Polizzi. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Imbroglia Polizzi; his sons, Joseph J. Polizzi III (Kristen), Jeffrey Polizzi and Gregory Polizzi (Shannon); his grandchildren, Julianna, Sienna, Gregory and Arianna Polizzi; and his brother Frank Polizzi (Josephine). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
