Maripat Brown Obituary
We announce the death of Maripat Brown (Hamilton, New Jersey), who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 85. Maripat will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Joseph W. Brown, Jr.; her children, Muire Cosgrove, Lizabeth Macoretta (John), Joseph W. Brown, III (Jill) and Kathleen Polaski (Michael); her sister-in-law Marguerite Brown; her parents, Elizabeth Rattigan and Patrick Rattigan; and her brother Anthony J. Dunleavy (Mary).
Viewing was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Church (5021 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ 08330). A Mass was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (5061 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ 08330).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maripat's name to the Society of the Sacred Heart for support of the retired religious. http://www.rscj.org.
