In the sacred silence of farewell, Richard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Richard's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Sparra and Veronica Nerwinski Sparra; and his brother Robert P. Sparra. He is survived by: his wife Jane Leese Sparra; his children, Scott F. Balyer, Richard J. Sparra and Joy N. Battafarano; and his siblings, Janet A. Collier of Rhode Island and Joseph S. Sparra of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel (1799 Klockner Rd, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Gregory the Great Church (4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Township, NJ 08690). A burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at the Riverview Cemetery (870 Centre St, Trenton, NJ 08611).
