He was predeceased by: his parents, Priska Dereka and Igor Dereka. He is survived by: his children, Natalie, Frank Cairo, Linda, David Dereka-Etherton, Andrew and Jennifer Dereka; his grandchildren, Christina, John Fecich, Elise, James De Luca, Vincent Etherton, Jonathan Dereka and Sean Dereka; and his great grandchildren, Frankie and Sonny.
The family requests that donations be made, in Wasyl's memory, to the St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 280 Main Street, South Bound Brook, New Jersey 08880.
