She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Pencek (Jacobs) and Edward Platanella; her stepfather Leonard Pencek; her husband Anthony J. Leone; and the father of her children John W. Owens.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly DeClement (Fred) and Sherri Owens; her stepdaughters, Mary Pilling (Gary), Toni Carol Spadaro and Joan Farley; her sisters, Edna Mazzola and Carol Sherwin (Barry); her grandsons, Corey Bollinger, Blake Bollinger, Michael Miranda (Jaclyn), Daniel Pilling (Courtney) and Brian Spadaro; and her great grandchildren, Nathaniel Pilling, Norah Pilling, Anthony Miranda and Lucas Miranda. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish Church (226 French St, Hammonton, NJ 08037). A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Greenmount Cemetery (124 S 1st Rd, Hammonton, NJ 08037).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Brenda's name to St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Pantry, 226 French St., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
