It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanne Whitney (Hammonton, New Jersey), born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on January 19, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Shaffer and Lillian Shaffer; and her brothers, Charles, Robert and Harold Shaffer.

She is survived by: her husband Bernard W. Whitney; her former husband Luther Katinos; her children, Bernard J. Whitney (Melinda) of Maggie Valley, NC, Kathleen Whitney Barr (Stephen) of Newark, DE, Maureen Depalma (Mark) of Hammonton, NJ, Kevin J. Whitney (Lainie) of Hammonton, NJ and Adrienne J. Esposito (Andrew) of Hammonton, NJ; her sister Audrey Belter (Neal) of Fort Mill, SC; her grandchildren, Thomas Barr (Christina), Gregory Barr (Annemarie), Victoria Barr, Elizabeth Barr, Lucy Barr, David DePalma (Colleen), Kevin Whitney II, Jillian Plavchak (Eric), Kellen Whitney and MacKenzie Esposito; and her great grandchild Hunter John Plavchak. She is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
