With sadness, we share the passing of John Thomas Murphy of Harrison, New Jersey. John Thomas, born on June 24, 1939, passed away on October 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Murphy (Jack) and Annamarie O'Brien; his sisters, Ellen Cicchino and Roseann Barton; and his nephew Joseph Michael Hart (Coleen).
He is survived by: his niece Kimberly Rodriguez (Randy); his nephew John Barton; his great-nephew Joseph (Jen); his great-nieces, Marisa Rankin (Dustin) and Samantha O'Donnell (Will); his friends, Barbara Ryan and Kunal Mehta; Zoe Mae, Joseph Jude, Marisa, Wade, Joleen, Samantha and Henry.
A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mulligan Funeral Home (331 Cleveland Ave, Harrison, NJ 07029).
For those desiring, Memorial Donations may made be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Shriners Children's Hospital, in care of the funeral home, in loving memory of Jack.
