It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Georgene Tanis of Haskell, New Jersey, born in Passaic, New Jersey, who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Borowinski and Fastyna Borowinski; and her sister Geraldine Getson. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Tanis of Haskell; her children, Colleen Grandinetti (Andre) of Cedar Grove, Joseph Tanis, Jr. of Paterson and David Tanis (Mirian) of Flanders; her siblings, Christine Bartman of Clifton, Roger Borowinski of Wayne and Fastyna Ghirtsos of Clifton; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Grandinetti, Jordan Tanis and Zachary Grandinetti.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home (1313 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
