She was predeceased by: her husband James F. Rooney, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Kelly Sheiner (Shelley) of Fair Lawn and James Rooney III of Manahawkin; her grandchildren, Jacob and Sarah Sheiner; and her sisters, Jane Begyn (late Tom) of Hawthorne and Nancy Schuster (Dave) of Hawthorne. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Porry's name to the Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps—a cause that meant a great deal to her.
