With sadness, we share the passing of Joan Isabel Terry of Hawthorne, New Jersey. Joan, born on December 6, 1934 in North Bergen, New Jersey, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brother Walter Hopfner (Theresa). She is survived by: her boyfriend Frank Garofalo; her children, Sandra Terry of British Columbia and John Terry (Christine) of Hawthorne; her grandchildren, John, Michael, Lea and Alana; and her great grandchildren, Kationa and Bryson.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home (557 Lafayette Ave, Hawthorne, NJ 07506). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (233 S Highwood Ave, Glen Rock, NJ 07452).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Glen Rock.
