He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his grandson Kenneth Kavanagh; and his brothers, Neil Silvestri and John Silvestri. He is survived by: his daughters, Jeri Ann Kavanagh of Hawthorne, Joni Ann Huston (Barry) of Hawthorne and Ellen Marie Schroter (Dave) of Hawthorne; his grandchildren, Kimberly Hiza (Robert) of Franklin Lakes, Peter G. Kavanagh of Hawthorne, Barilyn Huston of Ringwood, Nicholas Schroter (Cara) of Franklin Lakes and Bryan Schroter (Stephanie) of Montclair; and his great grandchildren, Milena, Max, Emma, Skylar, Jack and Olivia.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home (557 Lafayette Ave, Hawthorne, NJ 07506). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Anthony's R. C. Church (276 Diamond Bridge Ave, Hawthorne, NJ 07506). A burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Laurel Grove Cemetery (295 Totowa Rd, Totowa, NJ 07512).
