He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Margaret; his siblings, Margaret Fitzgerald and Daniel Murphy; and his son-in-law Paul Kacsmar.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, James (Victoria Murphy), Michael Murphy, Mary Ellen Kacsmar, Matthew Murphy and Daniel Murphy (Jeannine Viscardi); his grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Meaghan, Devon, James IV, Paul, Stacey, Thomas, Alyssa, Jenna, Jake, Shane and Alicia; his great grandchildren, Ryan and Hailey; and his sister Elizabeth Gurl.
