Janet M. Catena Obituary

The memory of Janet M. Catena of Hazlet, New Jersey, who passed away on May 9, 2025 at the age of 81, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Janet touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Foster and Genevieve Foster (Majocha); her husband Daniel V. Catena; her brother Robert Foster (Carmen Foster); and her brother-in-law Edward Pietras.

She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Catena of Provincetown and Daniel Catena (Lisa Catena) of Hazlet; her sister Sheila Pietras; and her grandson Aidan Catena.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (3269 NJ-35, Hazlet, NJ 07730). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (360 Broadway, Keyport, NJ 07735).
