He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Grutkowski and Veronica Grutkowski (Costa); and his brother Bobby Grutkowski. He is survived by: his sisters, Veronica Webster (James) and Janet Grutkowski; his nephews, Jonathan Webster (Jess), Matthew Webster (Laura), Stephen Webster (Kerrie) and James Webster (Allie); his cousin Judy DeLeonardis; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cayleen of Maddie, JJ, Olivia, Kayleigh, Theo and Alex. He is also survived by his family, his students, colleagues, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (3269 NJ-35, Hazlet, NJ 07730). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict Catholic Church (165 Bethany Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733). A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031).
