It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Kushnir (Hazlet, New Jersey), who passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ulhursky and Tekla Ulhursky (Raczynsky); her husband John Kushnir; her brother Michael Ulhursky; and her brother-in-law Adam Kazio.
She is survived by: her children, Irene Pender (Jimmy), Peter Kushnir and Alexandra DeSena (Billy); her grandchildren, John Pender (Brandon), Andrew Pender (MaryKate), Marie Pender and Brandon DeSena; her great grandchild Rory Pender; her sisters, Ann Kazio and Irene Kozak (John); and her sister-in-law Krystyna Ulhursky. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
