He was predeceased by: his wife Helen E. Garda; his parents, John Garda and Helen Garda (Schick); and his siblings, Howard Garda and Marion Dessow.
He is survived by: his children, Lorraine J. Garda-Strouse (Glenn) of Northampton, Beth Ann Norman (John) of Naperville, Patty Fey (Jerry) of Naperville, Steven G. Hansen (Linda) of Tabernacle, Eric G. Hansen (Pattyann) of Jackson and Lisa M. Cancel (Jorge) of Sault Ste. He is also survived by grandchildren, and 11 treasured great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church (165 Bethany Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07730). Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (3269 NJ-35, Hazlet, NJ 07730). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (360 Broadway, Keyport, NJ 07735).
