Salome M. Mera Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Salome M. Mera of Hazlet, New Jersey, who passed away on May 25, 2025 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Salome M. Mera to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel; her parents, Narciso Salgado and Ana Salgado (Alvarez); her brothers, Delfino (Ana), Narciso (Maria), Manuel, Jose and Camilo (Marina); and her son-in-law Jose Vilacha.
She is survived by: her children, Manny Mera (Karen), Ana Vilacha, Jose Mera (Becky) and Narciso Mera (Marianne); her grandchildren, Michael (Amy), Daniel (Jay), Lisa (Alex), Andrew, Natalie (Tyler), Paul, Monica (Michael) and Drew (Alyssa); her stepgrandchildren, Patrick (Madison) and Elizabeth; her great grandchildren, Owen, Madison, Ethan, Olivia, Samuel, Duke, Noah, Kaylani and Viviana; her stepgreat-grandson Hudson; and her sisters-in-law, Maria and Ana. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (3269 NJ-35, Hazlet, NJ 07730). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church (165 Bethany Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733). An entombment was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Holmdel Cemetery (900 Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733).
