He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sarappo and Lillian Sarappo; his former wife Patricia Buchanan Sarappo; and his siblings, Joseph and Regina.

He is survived by: his wife Laura Lowrie; his children, Patricia Britton (Terry), Theresa Sarappo (James Ergun), John Sarappo (Inger), Susan Sarappo (Donald Carlson), Karen Sarappo and Jennifer Patrick (Cameron); and his stepchildren, Salvatore Inga (Melissa) and Allison Inga (Trevor Bovington). He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
