It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerard J. Carty of Hillsdale, New Jersey, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Anna Carty (McMahon) and Frank Carty; his wife Kathleen; his son Gerard Jr. (Patty); and his brother Gene Carty.

He is survived by : his grandchildren, Lauren Tedford (Michael), Elizabeth Bruchansky, Kevin Carty, Christine Schaaf (Jimmy), Kyle Carty, Gerard Kenah, Kathleen Kenah and Brian Kenah. He is also survived by 16 loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Church (1 Valley St, Hillsdale, NJ 07642). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to "St. John the Baptist Church – Restricted Fund for Parish Renovations.".
