He was predeceased by: his parents, Francesco Amato and Carmela Amato (Monte San Giacomo). He is survived by: his sisters, Antonia (Marcotrigiano), Rosina (Romano), Marie (Rubino), Francesca (Fitzpatrick) and Anna; his siblings' children, Rosa Santoriello, Joseph Marcotrigiano, Joseph Rubino, Gianfranco Rubino and Stephen Rubino; and his brothers-in-law, Savino Marcotrigiano, Mario Rubino and Neil Fitzpatrick.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Hoboken Historical Museum.
