He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Lewellyn Shann II and Reba Mae Shann (Jennings); his sister Darlene Alvarez; and his close friend Judee Hefele. He is survived by : his children, Tricia Lynn Fritz (Joseph) and David Lawrence Shann, Jr.; his grandchildren, Kendra, Zoe, Talia and Brayden; and his siblings, Robert Shann (Anna), Delmar Shann (Sharon), Louella Post (Richard), Emily Shann and Louis Lewellyn Shann III.
