He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nissen and Carolyn Nissen; his brother John Nissen; and his brother-in-law Dean O'Neill. He is survived by: his friend Theatrical Lighting; his wife Ellen Kohn Nissen; his children, Jeffrey Scott Nissen (Alyssa), Benjamin Lee Nissen (Russell) and Sara Rose Nissen; his siblings, Jerry Nissen (Liz Nissen) and Susanne O'Neill; and his sister-in-law Susan Nissen.
