We announce the death of Joanne K. Ackerman of Howell, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 78. Joanne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Keenan and Francis Keenan; her grandparents, Frank and Katie Ferraro; and her brother George Keenan.
She is survived by: her husband Edward; her children, Debbie Canal (Peter) of Brick, Joseph Rovi (Maureen Connelly) of Toms River and Dawn Arons (Robert) of Piscataway; and her grandchildren, Kyle, Julia, Tyler and Anthony.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital or the ASPCA would be appreciated.
