He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Chaves and Laurinda Chaves. He is survived by: his wife Rosalia Chaves; his sons, Claudio (Jessica) and Silvio (Marcella); his grandsons, Zackary, Wesley, Silas and Maximo; and his siblings, Madalena Lourenco (Simon), Manuel Chaves (Fernanda) and Henry Chaves (Aurora). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:45 PM at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home (100 Elton-Adelphia Rd, Freehold Township, NJ 07728). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 5:45 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Marlboro Memorial Cemetery (361 Hwy 79, Morganville, NJ 07751).
