It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances T Smith of Jackson, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Nils S. Nylander and Edward G. Halligan; and her husband Gerard Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Kantz of Woodbridge, NJ and Mary Murphy (Tom) of Lavallette, NJ.; her grandchildren, William Kantz, Colleen Murphy (James), Brian Kantz, Michael Murphy (Elizabeth), Kathleen Stevens (Trevor), Brendan Murphy (Jasi-Lynn) and Megan Murphy; and her great grandchildren, Michael, Savannah and Ryan.
