With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R Prato of Jackson, New Jersey, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on April 27, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley M Prato (Hopkins); and his son Michael A Prato. He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela A Stemerick (Dave) and Bobbi G Prato; his siblings, Nicholas J Prato Jr. (Glen), Mary Knight (Frank) and Cheryl Prato; and his grandchildren, Beverly Koenig (Jack), James M. Prato (Tracy), Jeffery Stemerick (Talena), Rebecca Prato (Justin Plank) and Jonathan Stemerick (Gretchen). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandsons.
