He was predeceased by : his parents, Francis Bongiorni and Mary Bongiorni; his wife Teresa; his sons, Daniel and Michael; and his son-in-law Martin Scheuing.

He is survived by : his children, Diane Scheuing, Jane Rogers (Michael), Joseph (Nancy) and William (Janine); and his daughter-in-law Maureen Bongiorni. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
