With sadness, we share the passing of Mary Lou Roder of Jackson, New Jersey. Mary Lou, born in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her significant other Frederick J. Roder; her parents, Willie and Helen; her children, Fred "Freddie" Roder (Karen) of Illinois, Helen Roder (Fritz Ewaldt) and Sharon O'Malley (Jimmy) of New Jersey; her grandchildren, Anthony Roder (Brittany), Megan O'Malley (Miles Nash), Sara O'Malley, Christopher Roder, Michela DeBartolo, Stephen O'Malley and Alexander Roder; and her sisters-in-law, Josephine and Virginia. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Villa Park VFW Post 2801, Bergh Room (39 E. St. Charles Rd. Villa Park, Handicap).
