Paul Hitchuk Sr. Obituary
JACKSON- Paul Hitchuk Sr., 74, 8 Dartmouth Drive, died yesterday at Paul Kimball Hospital, Lakewood. Mr. Hitchuk was born in Russia and lived in Passaic and Clifton before moving to Jackson 10 years ago. He was the former owner of Paul and Helen’s Tavern, Passaic, 13 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox and Toms River Senior Citizens Club. He was predeceased by his former wife Mary Figol Hitchuk. He is survived by his wife, the former Mrs. Helen Cheropovitch; Two sons Paul Jr. and Walter (Mary), both of Clifton; and a daughter Mrs. Robert (Olga) Johnson of New Orleans. 8 Grandchildren Barbara Koehler, Walter Hitchuk Jr., Roger Hitchuk, Paul Hitchuk III, Philip Hitchuk, Robert Johnson, Susan LaBarge and Earle Johnson. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the St. Marys Russian Orthodox Church. The Glenn A. DeBow Funeral home is where the service will be held. Interment St. Vladimirs Cemetery.
