We are sad to announce that on October 23, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Jeffrey Lamela of Jersey City, New Jersey, born in Montville, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid Jeffrey farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Jeffrey is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lamela and Marguerite Lamela; and his brother John Lamela. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Lamela; his sisters-in-law, Linda Lamela and Maureen Horan; and his cousins, Keith and Byron Griffin.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation (3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07306).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org), honoring his lifelong devotion to his fellow service members.
